About Undercover Word
Undercover Word is a browser party game created and independently maintained by Brad.
Built for playing together
Brad built Undercover Word after playing party games with his family and wanting to make something they could play together. The browser format lets a group share a room code and use the devices they already have.
A player suggestion that changed the game
A player suggested adding word packs so people could choose the kinds of words they use. Word packs were added to give hosts that choice. Easy, Family and Funny now let groups select vocabulary that fits their familiarity and preferences.
What this version offers
Players join with a room code or QR link, privately reveal words, give spoken clues and vote on their devices. Classic resolves one vote at a time; Deep Cover keeps a hidden Mole across elimination rounds. No account or app download is required.
Product choices you can see
Word reveal is private to each player’s browser. A shuffled turn order gives everyone a turn, and the host can skip a missing speaker. Easy, Family and other packs provide different vocabularies. The searchable word list and worked round let you understand the game before gathering a group.
Keeping the instructions useful
The rules and hosting guide describe the controls in this game, including ties, reconnecting and late joining. Examples are labeled as illustrative. The historical gameplay-records guide explains why earlier figures were withdrawn and distinguishes those records from current data use.

Use the Contact page to report a confusing rule, inaccessible control or problem with a round. Include the browser and steps needed to reproduce the issue; do not include private player tokens or host credentials.
